Welcome to my world, a place known to many here in Gorham, New Hampshire, as “North of the Notch." Below are my blogs. I host the Trail-Break Airbnb, the closest Airbnb to the peak of Mt. Washington, at least as the crow flies. I also write historically accurate novels, which are described as they evolve in the blog below.
The Trail-Break Airbnb is located at 5 Brookside Drive, just off Route 2 on the banks of the Moose River. It's on the northern edge of the White Mountain National Forest, a popular destination due to its proximity to the White Mountains and Wildcat Mountain Ski Area. Snowbirds flock here in the summer, but we who love the snow and the changing seasons love it all year round! When you venture north to enjoy the many activities here, the Trail-Break can be you home away from home..
I've written three novels of colonial America—the saga of the James family—a series starting in England in 1607 and pausing in the Plymouth Colony in 1680. The very forming of English colonization is witnessed by this family, each of four generations facing new trials and dangers during the founding of a nation.
