Mount Crescent Loop is a 3.1 mile moderately trafficked trail located in Randolph, New Hampshire and is rated as moderate. My altimeter readings of 1818 at the trail head — near the end of Randolph Hill Road — and 3251 at the top is an elevation gain of 1433 feet in slightly over one and a half miles of nearly continuous uphill hiking. The north face has a remarkably pristine view north through the Androscoggin valley, and the south face has a nice view of Mt. Jefferson, although this same view is better from Lookout Ledge. Keep to the right on the ascent. It’s steeper and the descent is easier hiking the loop counterclockwise.
